Who We Serve
OATMaster is used in heavy-duty and commercial engines running OAT coolant, from trucks and buses to off-highway equipment and fire apparatus. We sell through distributors; contact us and we'll refer you to one.

Fleets & Fire Departments
Keep trucks, buses and apparatus in service with hose made for OAT coolant systems. Contact us and we'll connect you with a distributor.

Repair & Aftermarket Garages
Emergency vehicle and heavy-duty shops can source OATMaster through a distributor for customer repairs instead of substituting a general-purpose hose.

Municipal & Commercial Fleets
Municipal and commercial fleet managers can standardize on one OAT-compatible hose, sourced through a distributor.

Built for Heavy-Duty Engines Running OAT Coolants
OATMaster hose was developed for OAT coolants in modern heavy-duty engines, where higher under-hood temperatures rule out EPDM. Example applications include:
- Refuse & garbage trucks
- Ready-mix & cement mixers
- Construction & off-highway equipment
- Municipal & utility fleets (plows, utility trucks)
- Heavy-duty trucks
- Other industrial equipment running OAT coolants
Silicone Hose for OAT Coolant: Why It Matters
What Is OAT (Organic Acid Technology) Coolant?
OAT is an acronym for Organic Acid (Additive) Technology, the type of corrosion inhibitor used in long life and extended life coolants. These coolants are based on minimally depleting carboxylate technology that protects cooling-system components, including aluminum and magnesium found in modern engines. Unlike traditional coolants, they do not require regular additions of supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) at scheduled service intervals. In some heavy-duty diesel applications a coolant extender is used to top up additives at the coolant's half-life, typically around 480,000 km.
Why OAT Coolant Needs a Different Hose
Higher under-hood temperatures in modern engines rule out conventional EPDM rubber hose, and gases can permeate a standard silicone liner. OATMaster extended life coolant hose uses a black internal barrier liner that virtually eliminates permeation, so the hose lasts longer than standard silicone hose. The liner is highly resistant to potassium/sodium 2-ethylhexanoic acid, unlike a standard fluorosilicone liner.
How OATMaster Coolant Hose Is Built
- Impermeable inner liner: black internal barrier layer designed for OAT coolant acids and gases
- Reinforcement: multiple braids of bias-cut woven meta-aramid fabric
- Outer cover: high-grade silicone rubber to SAE J20; standard color violet, other colors on request
- Construction: standard envelope wrap, or strip wound for higher-pressure applications; classic wrapped cover finish
- Testing: independent lab testing with commercial OAT coolants (excellent resistance to gas permeation) and dynamic pressure testing to DIN 73411-2 certificated at 1 million cycles
Warranty terms are provided by the manufacturer. Confirm with the manufacturer before use: OATMaster.

OATMaster Coolant Hose for Heavy-Duty and Commercial Engines
The manufacturer developed OATMaster for commercial vehicles and Tier 6 engines running OAT coolants, and also markets it for rail applications (tested to EN45545-2) and advanced thermal management systems. Typical uses include trucks, buses, refuse and ready-mix trucks, construction and off-highway equipment, municipal fleets and fire apparatus.
Customers must verify suitability for their specific engine and application before ordering or installing.
